Interest in classic motorcycle racing stems from his father Alan, who started competing in four stroke events in the early 1970’s with the North Gloustershire Racing Club aboard a Velocette Thruxton. As the classic scene took off in the late 70’s Alan was amongst the founding members of the Classic Motorcycle Racing Club with whom he  raced for over 30 year. He still parades a Metisse framed Aermacchi today. Having grown up around racing motorcycles since his earliest days Rich has nurtured an appreciation of the competition machines of the classic era and has a particular fondness for the 4 stroke single. He even has an appreciation of the Japanese two strokes of the 70's & 80's.............Just don't tell his father!
